Stephen Bailey is a comedian, television personality and writer, whose friendly and open brand of gossipy humour has made him one of the most sought after acts on the UK comedy circuit today. He is ´annoyingly sharp´ (The New Current) and audiences relate to his sassy style as he takes to the stage with ´fantastic natural wit and charisma´ (Edinburgh Festivals). In 2015, his show was nominated for the Amused Moose Comedy Award (Best Show).
His star has started to rise having appeared on numerous TV shows including ITV´s Weekend with Aled, ITV2´s Safeword & CelebAbility, ITVBe´s Kate´s Wardrobe Secrets, W´s Celebrity Advice Bureau and Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother´s Bit On the Side & It´s Not Me, It´s You.
Having previously supported Katherine Ryan and Jenny Eclair on their UK tours, 2017 saw Stephen hit the road with his own debut headline tour Stephen Bailey: Nation´s Sweetheart, which was a solid stand-up 90 minutes focusing on dating disasters, family lunacy and celebrity put-downs, which we can all relate to, as he explored ALL the tales that we are not posting on Facebook. He also guest hosted Sunday Takeover on Virgin Radio, featured on The Art´s Show with Jonathan Ross on BBC Radio 2 and was named one of Attitude Magazine´s Top 100 Bachelors of the Year.
A vocal supporter of LGBT rights, he regularly contributes articles to Attitude magazine and the Huffington Post, which made him the perfect choice to host Stonewall´s 25th Anniversary Party and his recent interview for AOL Build about the LGBT movement went viral.
As well as being a working-class, ginger, gay, northern comic, he is also a black belt in Tae Kwon-Do, has a degree in Languages AND loves a conspiracy theory (preferably involving a celebrity and a cucumber).
