Shane Todd
Shane Todd is currently one of the biggest homegrown names in comedy in Northern Ireland. His freewheeling, storytelling style has made him a star in at home and his profile continues to grow on the UK mainland.
He was one of the leads in the BBC 2 Northern Ireland stand-up and sketch show ‘Late License’ and the host of the BBC Radio Ulster stand up showcase ‘Live At The Sunflower’. His own radio show ‘The Shane Todd Show’ is currently broadcasting on BBC Radio Ulster and he will appear in the Radio 4 series ‘State Of The Nations’ early in 2017. He was the Northern Irish correspondent for the Adrian Chiles show on BBC Radio Five Live for Euro 2016. Following a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year his ‘Holywood To Hollywood’ show sold out the 1,000 capacity Ulster Hall in only his second hometown headline show. His character comedy, in the shape of Belfast socialite Mike McGoldrick and juvenile rapper MC Beezer, has been a big hit online : MC Beezer’s ‘Woke Up In Limavady’ video had over 300,000 views within 24 hours on Facebook in September 2016. In late 2016 Shane was the tour support for Bill Burr’s Belfast show.
