Lizzie Roper

Lizzie Roper is an actress with over 25 years’ experience on stage and screen. Her TV credits include Boy Meets Girl (2 series for BBC), Hollyoaks, Call the Midwife, Dead Boss, Silent Witness, Him&Her, Being Human, Waterloo Rd, New Tricks, Coronation St, Shameless, This Is Jinsy, Harry and Paul, The Worst Week of My Life, The Great Outdoors, The Bill, and Holby City.
As a stand-up she has performed her solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival with sell out West End transfers as well as UK Tours. Other notable theatre includes One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, with Christian Slater and The Odd Couple with Alan Davies and Bill Bailey. In 2016 she was in the stage version of The Libertine playing alongside Dominic Cooper.
In 2013 Lizzie was cast as the regular character Sam Lacey Lomax in Hollyoaks. She remained in the soap until autumn 2014 and through that time had several huge storylines. She was a much loved addition to the cast and remains hugely popular amongst the fans.
After her departure from Hollyoaks Lizzie returned to the Edinburgh Fringe after several years away, playing the title role in Tim Fountain´s darkly comic play Julie Burchill: Absolute Cult. The show, and in particular Lizzie, was a huge hit. In 2015 Lizzie was cast as Jackie, a series regular role, in BBC2´s exciting new sitcom Boy Meets Girl which was quickly commissioned for a second series, airing from July 2016.
She has become a popular TV personality and has made regular appearances as a panellist on The Wright Stuff as well as filming two series of Celebrity Storage Hunters where she teamed up with Jenni Éclair, and appearing on Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled.
