James is a comedian and compere specialising in audience interaction.
He entered the comedy world in 2009 as part of impro music group Abandoman. Together with Rob Broderick he performed for a wide variety of audiences and stages, from London Apollo to Glastonbury Festival to Brixton Academy and festivals across Europe and Australia. Their work has featured on: BBC 2, BBC Three, Sky Arts 1, Channel 4, Radio 1, 4 and 6Music; and has won both Hackney Empire’s New Act of The Year 2010 and The Musical Comedy Awards 2010.
In 2014 James moved on from music and Abandoman in order to focus on a solo career. He performs regularly on the London comedy and cabaret circuit, including monthly MC spots at The Aeronaut Circus Show and Rosemary Branch Theatre.
