Herring aid-Comic´s International Women´s Day tweets raise £130k
Richard Herring has raised more than £130,000 for charity – by spending a day on Twitter.
The comic traditionally dedicates every International Women´s Day to enlightening men making snarky comments asking when it’s going to be International Men´s Day.
November 19, Herring tells them in a variety of patronising ways, such as berating them for not using Google to check, or suggesting some sort of celebration come the big day.
This year he used the publicity his stunt attracts to raise money for Refuge, the charity which helps women and children who are victims of abuse.
