Artists and Comedians
Ellie White is one of the UK’s most exciting young character comedians and comedy actors. She can soon be seen as a key guest role in the third series of BBC2´s upcoming INSIDE NO 9 and will also reprise her regular role as Princess Beatrice in C4’s THE WINDSORS Series 2 (alongside Katy Wix and Harry Enfield) after appearing in Series 1 and the Christmas special. Ellie has also played various characters (including Cara Delevingne) in Series 2 & 3 of MURDER IN SUCCESSVILLE and played a lead role in BBC3´s 2016 pilot LIMBO.
Ellie is currently performing in Sean Foley´s production of THE MISER alongside Griff Rhys Jones, Lee Mack and Matthew Horne at The Garrick Theatre in London, where it will play until the 4th June. Tickets are available here. She has received some lovely write-ups:
´Ellie White brilliantly channels the plummy vowels of the (very) upper classes as Marianne.´ - Whats on Stage
´Fringe favourite Ellie White is memorable, too, as the super-privileged Marianne, poshly-spoken to the point of incomprehension.´ - Chortle
´Ellie White as Marianne is a surprise highlight of the evening, with her overly refined enunciation making her almost incomprehensible to the other characters.´ - British Theatre
Ellie had regular roles in ITV2’s GLITCHY with Ryan Sampson and @ELEVENISH and BBC2’s HOUSE OF FOOLS Series 2, in which she starred alongside creators Vic and Bob, Matt Berry and Morgana Robinson. She also frequently collaborates with noted comedy performers Natasia and Jamie Demetriou and Liam Williams - together they have featured in the BBC3 pilot PEOPLE TIME (with Claudia O’Doherty) and this year’s web-series 2016: YEAR FRIENDS. She is also a frequent contributor to BBC Radio 4´s NEWSJACK as well as appearing in many other comedy programmes on the channel including THE KING´S MEN and TIM KEY´S LATE NIGHT POETRY.
On stage, Ellie has performed in well reviewed shows at three Edinburgh Fringes including MOTHER AND A BABY with Natasia Demetriou and is also a regular performer at Cardinal Burns Presents. She has just played a lead role in the alternative panto RICKY WHITTINGTON (written by Liam Williams and Daran Johnson) at the New Diorama Theatre alongside Charlotte Ritchie.
Ellie performed her brilliant debut solo show HUMANS at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014 with the Invisible Dot and PBH´s Free Fringe. She was chosen as picks of the festival by The Independent and Time Out amongst others and had great reviews and sell out audiences: “Humans is close to pitch-perfect.... Her characters are both vibrant and unnerving; White is a small-framed powerhouse with startling range and a masterful command of her craft.“ Fest Mag
