Steve Whiteley (Wisebowm)
Steve Whiteley is an actor, character comedian and director with a propensity to write a very serious biography. With a background in performing improvisation, he launched his YouTube channel Offkey World in 2014, which was nominated for ‘Best Internet Programme’ at the British Comedy Awards (fancy). The sketches and music videos on the channel have been featured in numerous publications. His 2016 debut Edinburgh Fringe show Wisebowm: The Struggle Is Real, received 4 stars from Fringe Guru with Fresh Air Radio describing him as ‘The Eminem of Parody Rap’. Steve was a 2016 finalist in the ‘New Jewish Comedian Of The Year’ competition and a Semi-Finalist in both the 2017 ‘Musical Comedy Awards’ and the 2017 ‘Leicester Square Theatre Sketch Off’ competition. He returned to the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe as Wisebowm, receiving 5 star reviews (see press section if you don’t believe him/me) and being picked as Scroobius Pips top 6 picks of the Fringe.
