Steve Vertigo
Manchester
He´s tall.
He was a house music DJ through the nineties and noughties
He detests the word “noughties“
People have said his stand-up is even funnier than his DJing
His mum´s over the moon with his career change
He´s been accused of being clever, but nothing´s ever been proven
He´s from Manchester, via Liverpool and now London
He´s still recovering from the first time he paid five pounds for a pint
Perpetually moans about prices and other stuff.
He is original, we’ll say that for him. Whether it’s a good original or a bad original remains to be seen but yes, definitely original.
He´s been lolloping around the stand-up circuit for a bit now, and he´s well worth seeing, especially in some of the smaller venues, like cellars.
There´s usually a good chance of him taking out a red-hot stage light with either a flailing elbow, or his head.
People have described his style as surreal, almost concussed, and he´s a master at dragging out those awkward “Is-he-actually-unconscious?“ moments, until you can´t help but laugh to relieve the tension.
