Guz Khan (Guzzy Bear)

Guz Khan (Guzzy Bear)

West Midlands

Guz Khan is an Actor, Writer and Stand-up Comedian from the notoriously gangster city that is Coventry. Originally a secondary school teacher, Guz has become an unstoppable comedy talent who has taken the industry by storm.

After starting out as a YouTube sensation, Guz made his stand-up comedy debut opening for the internationally renowned Aamer Rahman, on his sell out tour The Truth Hurts in 2014 - the quality of his debut performance warranted attention from the BBC at this point. The following year Guz wrote and starred in a short for the British Muslim Comedy series for BBC iPlayer. Roadman Ramadan was a collaboration with Baby Cow productions and was in the top ten most viewed iPlayer programmes on its release. This led to Guz developing and starring in a BBC Comedy Feed Man Like Mobeen released in 2016. Man Like Mobeen was a hit and is being developed into a series this year.

He also features as a series regular in Borderline a comedy mockumentary from Little Rock Pictures for Channel 5 which is filming a second series this year. His other credits include Zapped produced by Baby Cow for UKTV and his own Sky Short Frightbusters. In 2017 he will appear in the feature film Finding Fatima.

You can also find Guz every Tuesday night hosting The Guz Khan Show on the BBC Asian Network.

When he’s not on your screen or radio, Guz continues his success on the stand up circuit.

In short, Guz is one of the most naturally funny, gifted and refreshing performers that this country has.
