Alexander Fox

London

Alexander Fox is a comedian, improviser, writer and musician. After four Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, first in student comedy then in various sketch and improv shows, 2017 sees Alexander finally bring his debut solo show to the Fringe.

“A SHOW ABOUT THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS DRUMMER. AND HIS PART IN MY DOWNFALL.”
In a chance encounter in 2006, Alexander Fox met, and shortly after began a pen-pal relationship with, Beatles icon Ringo Starr. Their lives became intertwined, but then grew increasingly sinister, as the pressures of one being the most renowned drummer in history collided with the attempts of the other to cement a top-tier knowledge of the GCSE History syllabus. ´Yellow Submarine´ meets ´Whiplash´ in this innovative drumming comedy experience.

Alexander’s affable stage persona and quick wit have been seen most recently in the success of his previous creation, the sell-out ´Shaken Not Stirred: The Improvised James Bond Film´, which was chosen as a ‘Pick of the Fringe Show’ by EdFringeReview in 2015 and selected for the Offbeat Comedy Festival in 2016. In 2014, his then sketch trio The Awkward Silence won a ‘Best New Act’ nomination at the prestigious London Sketchfest. He is also a member of improv troupes Bumper Blyton, Uncle Bryn and Sweet Nelson, and sketch duo Beckenbauer. He is a former member of the Oxford Imps and the Oxford Revue; has trained with US improv companies iO Chicago, UCB, Annoyance Theatre and Second City; and is a graduate of London´s The Free Association.
