London-based Scottish comedian Matt Winning has been performing since 2009 and quickly gained a reputation as an exciting new act after winning the Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year 2011 and appearing in the final of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2012. He also reached the final of the Chortle Student Comedy Awards in 2010, as himself, and again in 2011, as a character.

In 2015 he took his debut show Matt Winning: Mugabe and Me (3D) to the Edinburgh festival Fringe at Opium as part of PBH´s Free Fringe

In 2016 Matt performed his second show ´Matt Winning: Ragnarok´ at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016, which is now available to watch on the Next Up platform. He also wrote and appeared as part of a brand new sketch show I Am Wario with Stuart Laws and Anne Klein.

2017 sees him bringing his highly anticipated third solo show ´Matt Winning: Filibuster´ about climate change to Just the Tonic at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. Matt has a PhD in climate change policy and is now combining his two worlds of comedy and environmental economics in an attempt to save the planet.

Matt is the co-creator of the cult show ´Bearpit Podcast Podcast´ in which he performs with Mat Ewins, John Kearns, Adam Hess, Fin Taylor, Richard Gadd and Lolly Adefope. You can download it now directly from i-Tumes and NoiseCloud

He has performed in several mixed-bill shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe including The Comedy Zone in 2013 with Lucy Beaumont, Tommy Rowson and Carl Hutchinson. Other comedy festivals Matt has performed shows at include Glasgow, Machynlleth, Leicester, Brighton and Copenhagen. Matt has also appeared in BBC Scotland TV show Scot Squad and Josie Long´s most recent feature film due for release in 2017, and he has written for the Comedy Unit and BBC Radio Scotland.
