Luke Courtier is a musical comedian who is most often found singing verbose, dextrous accounts of the travails of contemporary living. From adequate dog sizing to navigating Bodos Schloss; rarely is a stone left unturned. When not doing this he can be found buried in the Debrett´s Guide To The Modern Gentlement and other relevant manuals of self improvement.
He was a finalist in the 2015 Musical Comedy Awards and the Amused Moose Laugh Off and has played at the Hospital Club, Bloomsbury Theatre, The Phoenix, The Bussey Building, Hackney Attic, The Ritzy, Wilderness Festival, The Big Noise Festival, The Bussey Building, Edinburgh Summer Hall and many other grand places.
He trained at RADA and has worked extensively in theatre before turning his hand to comedy. His theatre credits include Peter Hall’s Henry IV Parts 1 & 2 at the Theatre Royal Bath, As you Like It at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Merrie England at the Finborough Theatre, Coram Boy at the National, Billy Budd at the Southwark Playhouse, and A Dashing Fellow at the New Diorama.
He recently finished working with Lily Bevan on Pheasant Plucker at the Bush Theatre for which he wrote and played music for.
